Augur v2

Above is a look at the proposed changes for Augur v2; featuring use of DAI, implementation of use it or lose it for REP (in a fork), using an auction system for the REP price oracle, replacing participation tokens with a buyback/burn system, faster disputing, API fixes, bug fixes and more!

Eth San Francisco

There was an awesome turnout for Eth San Francisco this past weekend and several hack-a-thon teams ended up building projects either enhancing or integrating Augur.

Primotif:

Lets users buy sets, small portfolio units, that is comprised of Augur shares and dy/dx short tokens. Augur shares track the underlying major index, such as the S&P 500, while the short tokens provide a hedge against the volatility in the ETHUSD price.

Augur Pro:

User-friendly iPhone app allows you to: 1) view stats on featured Augur markets such as ETH at stake and market end date 2) view American-style betting odds on each market 3) click any market to see more information (including time-series pricing charts) 4) navigate to the most popular markets in a list of popular market categories

Trufflecon

Several members of the Forecast Foundation attended Trufflecon in Portland, Oregon this past weekend; including Scott Bigelow, who gave a presentation on “Unobvious Ethereum Hacks

Reminder, the Forecast Foundation has no role in the operation of markets, trades or actions created or performed on the Augur protocol, nor does it have the ability to censor, restrict, control, modify, change, revoke, terminate or make any changes to markets created on the Augur protocol. The Forecast Foundation has no more control over the Augur protocol than anyone else using Ethereum.

Thus, we do not seek to advise others on how to use the protocol. We encourage those in the community that are well educated on Augur to pay it forward and share their ideas for best practices, tips, fixes and etc with the larger community via Twitter, Reddit, Discord, Github and other community channels.
