Never go to space it’s terrible omg
Leigh Alexander

The perspective I find troublesome is that humans have no sense of purpose or belonging among the living things that share 60% or more of our DNA; How can we expect to get along on planets that share none (Both physically and psychologically)?

We have a general belief that space is somehow going to save us, like heaven, but it’s more escapism than reality. Reality is hard and dirty and weeds grow everywhere, much like our relationships. Running away is always a temporary or limited fix. Someone still has to deal with what’s left behind. How much of “progress” in technology is really just escape for a very few and a mess for the rest?
