Our Revolution Los Angeles endorses Aura Vasquez for

Los Angeles City Council, District 10

LOS ANGELES, C.A. — Our Revolution Los Angeles is issuing the following statement announcing its endorsement of Aura Vasquez, a Democrat running for the Los Angeles City Council, District 10.

“We are proud to support Aura Vasquez in her campaign to represent the people of Los Angeles City, District 10. Aura has a history of fighting for the most vulnerable in our community and a commitment to the ideals that bring our group together: equality, justice, compassion, and inclusion.”

“Aura has a consistent history of fighting for progressive values, including her time at Standing Rock, and is the perfect candidate to represent District 10. As a LADWP Commissioner and WCKNC board member, she worked to improve transparency and citizen participation. She is a driving force in the climate movement, working toward 100% renewable energy, and has worked to protect and increase affordable housing across Los Angeles.”

To earn Our Revolution Los Angeles’s endorsement, Aura Vasquez cleared a multi-stage process, Submitting a Candidate Questionnaire, meeting with Our Revolution Los Angeles’s general membership and ultimately earning more than 2/3s of the votes of Our Revolution Los Angeles’s active members.

Our Revolution Los Angeles’s members will be launching a set of organizing events to help ensure Aura wins her campaign.
