#3 never fails to amaze me. I stopped in 1992 for much the same reasons as you. It worked so well I kept at it. I don’t judge those who drink, but I have received some pretty nasty insults from people who appear to be threatened by my abstinence. I make stuff up sometimes just to avoid the bonehead jibes. The best one is: “I got malaria in Borneo and I can’t drink now or I’ll probably die.”
