Austin Alexander Burridge is a student at Winona State University in Minnesota and is currently pursuing a Major in Environmental Sciences, with an emphasis in Biology, and a Minor in Sociology. He has a deep interest in understanding the relation of sustainable ecological systems to the environment and is an impassioned advocate for the conservation of natural resources.
Following his passion early on, Austin went to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, and the Amazon Rain Forest while he was studying at the School of Environment Studies to investigate ecological systems and their sustainability. Helping others also has been of paramount importance to him, and as a part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Austin gave back to the community around him. He has participated in annual peanut butter drives, The Minnesota Sandwich Project for the Homeless and collected canned goods for local food shelters.
A recipient of Winona State University’s President Honor Scholarship and a repeated name on the Dean’s list, Austin Burridge is no stranger to academic accolades. When he is not studying or exploring the field of environmental science, Austin enjoys traveling, scuba-diving, music, and spending time with his family and friends.
