1. Forgetting where you put something and it’s in your hand.
“Where did I put that pencil! It was right here.” The next few moments are spent frantically searching the immediate vicinity only to then discover your stupid brain has been holding its pencil for a few minutes in your hand and you just roll your eyes at its own stupidity.

2. Walking into a room forgetting what you walked into it to do.
Can’t be anything important in this room right? Except you can’t remember what you came into this room for in the first place. What’s worse than this whole situation is the subsequent remembering of why you went into the room after leaving said room.

3. Reading and thinking of something and having to reread that same part again.
Yea, this is torture. Not only is reading s pain sometimes, but having to reread things you didn’t understand because your brain was like “let’s think of something right now and still try and understand these other words.”

4. Knowing that you shouldn’t be nervous about something and still being nervous about something.
Interviews, meeting people, talking with your friends in new clothes. These are all things that we shouldn’t really be nervous about as people and yet still do. It’s quite frustrating because really all talking to people requires is a brain that works well enough to understand sentences and then subsequently send sentences back at the other person. And yet our minds make it harder than it has to be by also being nervous and fucking it’s one task up.

5. “Everyone is looking at me I know it.”
Similar to nervousness, people don’t care what you are doing unless it’s not conventional. Really, if you’re acting perfectly normal and not drawing attention to yourself on purpose then you have nothing to worry about. However, brain upstairs thinks everyone in the whole planet is watching you when you are just being a regular, totally normal person.

6. Forgetting something you told yourself not to forget 20 minutes prior.
I do this. I hate this. Why does his happen to me. I tell my brain “don’t forget x thing stupid.” And probably because I called it stupid it decides to forget all about it until after I leave a place and whoops, too late I can’t get it anymore.

7. Doing something awkward in general.
It quite confusing still that awkwardness is even a thing. We know how to act. We understand what to do and not to do in certain citations and yet sometimes we still do things a little unorthodox and it’s just the cringiest thing to see or understand in oneself. I personally feel like taking myself out when I do something awkward in public. Oh well.

8. Having what can only be described as strange thoughts.
“Hit that old lady with your car and you get 20 points.” Points towards what brain? Jail? Because that’s how you get in jail. Turns out that’s perfectly healthy brain activity, and that’s what is wrong with our brains as a whole.
