Great use of image in Facebook Ad

Make a picture a subtle CTA

Earlier this week whilst flicking through Facebook on my phone, this little beauty popped up..

Notice how they cut the image short but added a block of colour that matches (almost) the Facebook box background colour. This makes the hand look like it is overlapping the advert image, but it has a subtle purpose in that it is pointing to the call to action.
