You have been one of my favorite writers in the music space for years now. I cannot currently think of anyone as consistent in the focus of their subject, as they are with their quality. I am serious. I never give false praise, as it does not benefit anyone. That said, nearly every article you publish, leaves me in awe. I can see (and I hope others can as well) how much time and research you put into each one. And that does not happen anymore as it concerns online articles. The philosophy has now become quantity over quality to the point where the majority of aspiring writers/writers no longer care about the details. And to me (along with creativity), the details have always been what separates the average (or even mediocre) writer from the great writer.
I had intended to give you your praise before reading of this unfortunate situation (the DJ Magic Mike Earned a Radio Gig At Age 13 from a Pause Mix Demo Tape, individually). I need to learn to make time for that sort of thing. Being busy is not a good enough excuse in a world where we give praise and accolades to those who have not earned it, yet remain silent in our support of those who do.
Unfortunately, claps (much like follows) cost nothing. I will gladly pay to continue reading your work and not merely because of history, but because you are an incredible writer with extraordinary words and topics that I want to continue to see. And this is no handout. I value your words as much as Netflix, HBO, and Hulu — so if I am willing to pay for their content, why would I not be willing to pay for yours?
I will also put the word out and see if I cannot help to assist in your paid gigs. Someone with your distinctive and specific work should be desirable in the music world as a compensated wordsmith.
