Word of God Speak — Linkup

Each weekend — starting Saturday morning, I invite you to linkup your faith-filled posts. What are you hearing from Jesus this week?

This is reposted from Word of God Speak.

Unseen Where are you looking? — Word of God Speak Linkup

This has been another busy week — I have been reviewing the 6 scriptures we have had posted last week and the week before. This week we look at 3 more. Every one of them point to the unseen, to eternity.

2 Corinthians 4:17–18

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Time seemed very important to me for this scripture. I love the “light and momentary troubles”. Even in our most dire circumstances, in light of eternity, this would be negligible. Our troubles may seem heavy and long when we must endure them. I find it interesting that these words make us see the difference. Time here on earth is temporary. What we can’t see but hear about in scripture is for ever. Let’s focus on the unseen.

Focus on the unseen. (Tweet this)

Isaiah 40:8

The grass withers and the flowers fall,
 but the word of our God endures forever.”

Time again is the focus. The things of this world are temporary. God is forever. We look towards what is unseen instead of what we see. I love that.

Hebrews 1:10–13

In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
 and the heavens are the work of your hands.
 They will perish, but you remain;
 they will all wear out like a garment.
 You will roll them up like a robe;
 like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
 and your years will never end.

I did not plan it this way. But this one has to do with TIME as well. Everything we see is perishing. God remains the same. Praising God we will not perish if we give our lives to Jesus. We will have eternal life.

Again look to the unseen.
