I stopped fighting with it.
H. Nemesis Nyx

H. Nemesis Nyx, thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to respond, I truly appreciate it. Also, I’m so glad you’ve found something that works for you! For me, attempts to go wherever my brain wants to go have led only down inescapable rabbit holes. One memory is inevitably followed by another and another until I’m so lost in my own mind that I’m no longer functioning in the real world. I mean that very literally, it took me two years to be able to drive, grocery shop, take my kids to appointments, etc. on my own. Clawing my way up out of that hole has been the only thing that has helped. I have to force myself to focus on, well, pretty much anything else.

It’s so interesting, though, how we each have different paths along this journey. Each of us has to figure out exactly what is going to work for us, there’s no one-size-fits-all here. Despite that, it is incredibly comforting to meet others along the way. Even if our paths are different, our journey is the same, and sharing it with each other will never fail to be encouraging.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
