MY NEW ARTICLE avaiswriting.com

In Luton Towns 136 year history they haven’t been short of ridiculous owners.

I could make an entire TV series on trials and tribulations of Luton Town, this, my 2nd piece on Luton following on from my piece on Luton Town: Manager Idol I will be discussing yet another harebrained scheme from a Luton owner, this time the Kohlerdome.

David Kohler, an architect by profession took part ownership of Luton in 2002, along with partner Peter Nelkin.

That same year of Kohler buying the club he also considered selling it, initially to cockney villain and boxing promoter Frank Warren.

A deal hadn’t transpired.

In June of the same year (1992) Luton Town were successfully sold to Mike Watson-Challis, mentioned briefly in the aforementioned article.

Kohler was then moved to the position of chairman.

Kohlers first action in his Luton tenure was to reintroduce away fans back into Kenilworth Road after the ban caused by Millwalls finest knuckle-draggers.

All seems perfect normal so far.
