I understand what Donna meant by using the word “wrong” in this instance.

Just as when the founding fathers created the constitution, and only white land owning males could vote, insured that the “wrong people” would not be able to vote.

When you’re the ones making the rules, and someone falls outside your targeted group, they then become “the wrong people”.

It has taken three amendments (12th, 15th and 19th), and numerous voters rights laws to get where we are today, and we still have a long way to go.
