Cult Of The Lamb is a 2022 roguelike game, developed by Massive Monster and published by Devolver Digital. The game is currently available on Steam for Windows and MacOS, as well as Nintendo Switch, PS4 & PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
The game’s story revolves around a little lamb, the last of his kind, escaping a sacrificial slaughter to the old Gods by being rescued by the only God they sealed away — The One Who Waits. The On Who Waits grants the Lamb a Red Crown, a relic, containing his power, and sends them on a journey to kill his brothers and sisters, the Bishops of the old faith. Each of the Bishops will be found in their respective zone, each with different powers and ways to influence their followers. After all of the Bishops are killed, the Lamb can choose to submit themselves to The One Who Waits and surrender the Red Crown, or kill him too and become the God themselves.
The actual gameplay, however, involves a bit more than just running around killing things. Though, it is an integral part of the experience.
Aside from the main story progression, which depends on the elimination of each Bishop in a specific order, the Lamb must also build their own cult in order to empower the Red Crown’s abilities. There are a few ways the player can acquire followers…
