Analysis of #JNUunrest Discussion: 92% ridiculed the point raised by JNU students
Students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) clashed over an event organised on Tuesday on the Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru’s death anniversary. The incident at the Sabarmati Dhaba, against the execution of Afzal Guru and separatist leader Maqbool Bhat, and for Kashmir’s right to “self-determination”.
This issue concerns all of us so at aware we started a discussion on the topic “Are some of the educated youth and media houses deliberately sympathizing with the terrorist? #JNUunrest” to engage everyone in the discussion. Discussion happened on our mobile application and we shared opinions from the platform on our twitter handle to gather more opinion. Over 400 people participated on the discussion over the app by either giving their opinions or agreeing/disagreeing with other opinions. Most of these people were students from Delhi. On our twitter handle over a 2000 people participated and was read by over 100,000 people.

Conclusion: People in majority have made opinions against the points raised by students at JNU. Raising a point in an anti national tone was ridiculed by the majority.
