The Future Of Awkwardness Unlimited
On August 8th, 2013, I made the biggest decision of my life and created a YouTube Channel called Awkwardness Unlimited. My attempt with this YouTube channel was to simply make pranks “cool” again, and I wanted to make prank videos/comedy videos for all age groups, starting from the really young ones, to the older demographic. Since then, I had to continuously work day and night to be able to create content that we would like to be associated with, and also content that people are looking for. Unlike other YouTube channels in India, we’ve never created content just for the sake of benefiting from a trend. We’ve also never tried to fit in with the other content creators in India who would basically do anything just to go viral. My idea has always been simple; create content that actually deserves to be made, not something that deserves to go viral. Virality as an aspect has taken over most of the content creators/curated websites of today, and honestly, in the long run, that concept is going to fuck the quality of content made on the Internet up!
That brings me to these “curated” websites of today, which like to call themselves “News/Publishing Media”. With the rise of curated websites like ScoopWhoop and Storypick in India, I was glad that finally that sort of a medium had started in India too, and content creators on the Internet would benefit from sites like those. Oh boy, was I wrong.. These websites are majorly responsible for the shitty level of content that is made visible to the masses. With a combination of click bait titles, misinformed facts, questionable writing and terribly curated videos, these websites have basically fucked it up for content creators like myself who are genuinely trying to raise the bar of content production in India. I had to go one step further to ensure that the level of the content on the Internet keeps getting better, rather than drastically going downhill. After months of planning and hard work I am extremely happy to have finally launched www.awkwardnessunlimited.com and tv.awkwardnessunlimited.com
Awkwardness Unlimited, has officially expanded, and is here to be your savior through this shitty phase of terribly curated Internet videos. We will bring to you the good, the bad and the ugly from the Internet; but with our own system of ratings. You can see our ratings even before you click on the post, making it easy for you to make up your mind about clicking on it, or not.. On the website, we cover everything starting from what’s trending, food, movies, sports, and literally everything else…and that’s not all! We’ve also featured playable games on the website(games not compatible with mobile devices) so you’ll never be bored again.. P.S. — We will obviously keep uploading prank videos, and this in no way means the end of prank videos on our channel. But, we keep our pranks real unlike most of the pranksters out there; and real pranks take time to film.
