The sphinx (Met)

This is the sphinx at the Met.The sphinx at the Met is a miniature version of the real sphinx in Egypt. The sphinx is very interesting because it has a lions body a mans face and a rectangular beard.The Sphinx is wearing nemes headwear. The Sphinx are mainly found lying on there stomach with there legs on the ground ready to pounce. Its also interesting because if you go to the left side of the sphinx of this pictures point of view near the back you will find some numbers written in red.The numbers are 31.3.166. Those numbers help the museum workers tell the art apart.
