Sorry — I just can’t quite agree. Neither I want to support your opinion, nor I’m standing on the sideline just ignoring what is going on. If you look back in history, you will learn that Antarctica once was a tropical continent with absolutely no ice but palm trees. You will find their remains when you dig deep enough. Studying the past interglacial periods you will also find a lot about those cycles of an icy earth that goes down almost two thirds of the Northern Hemisphere towards the Equator and the other times where the glaciers have been retracted so that most of the US midwest was actually under sea. You will notice the billions of shells that still be seen on its surface. Obviously all in conjunction with the tectonic shifts.

Instead of bitching and moaning
about Global Warming and feeding the multi billion Dollar organizations, paid by tax payers who do nothing than keep the mystic alive it would be great to get some constructive suggestions how to deal with something that we cannot control.

Facts of live
In the next couple of thousand years sea level will rise and take away part of the land. It’s a fact and we have to deal with it. By simply getting well researched estimates we can do more to handle global warming than asking the weather goods, rain maker and other superstitious practices to make it go away. No — reducing our energy production output will not make a huge difference. to be precise, it will affect 0,000.000.000.000.006 % of our atmosphere if I calculated that correctly.

What to do
We need to better understand the impact on a well researched estimated time scale. With that we will discover opportunities to grow food in more southerly or northerly areas over time. And we will know when some of the land will vanish away. We will rationalize that the melting glaciers will add more sweet water to the oceans — tiny bit more — but enough to potentially see an increase in some types of fish and a decrease in others.

From populist to scientist
It would be most helpful if we stop getting attention through something we don’t realy realy know and start working on scientific methods to analyze the situation and predict the most likely outcome and maybe some permutations.
