Data Footprint of Bike-Sharing in Hamburg

Thanks for your insights. I conducted a similar analysis for Hamburg and got pretty similar results like you:

Considering that little peak at travel distance less than 200m, I guess this can be a result of broken bikes. I encountered something similar in the travel duration for Hamburg: Many bikes have been returned within 1–2min at the same stations. When I had a look at the raw data I saw that many of those bookings have been made with the same bikes by multiple customers. As such, I assumed these bikes have been returned due to technical problems.

So it would be interesting if that peak still remains if you would exclude booking that had the same start and end point.
