It’s hard to fight a fear that can always fight back
Mayday mayday we under attack
She’s dead he’s dead they’re dead boom
There goes another hashtag and justice for a goon
People getting famous after they’re gone
They forgetting what matter while catching Pokemon
Black lives are being so disposable
All lives matter for the uncomprehendible
Now People seeking vengeance on the 5–0
Fighting fire with fire gets no results
Mothers are crying and brothers are dying
And people are angry so anger is rising
One less brother and one less father
The balance between people getting farther and farther
All this negativity is hard to contemplate
Like MG said only love can conquer hate
I don’t feel safe walking out my door
Feeling so quiet feeling unsure
Will I get shot, will I get tased
Please officer don’t use the mace
All Lives Matter that’s a joke
Let’s be serious we’ve been provoked
Scared for lives seems there’s no bright side
But till this day we hide
Hide from the ones that protects us
But lately they seem to neglect us
Feels like a modern day war

Civil rights movement has just been restored
MLK said I have a dream
It was a dream without the peace
More like a nightmare with the police
Today, our youth are navigating a world with big questions and few answers. Empowering them to use their voice through music and media to confront these major issues is more important now than ever. BAYCAT works with kids as young as 11 years old to educate and train underserved kids in San Francisco and the Bay Area, combating gaps in social equity and education by placing young people on the path from education to employment in the digital media arts. BAYCAT creates a safe place where youth and young adults are able to gain the tools and platform to express themselves and advocate for world they want to see.
