Democracy is generally better than most other forms of government.

Brexit was the right thing to do and a referendum was a good way to do it. Politicians do what they have to do to get elected and that includes sometimes shying away from difficult but good decisions. Left to the people of UK, I’m sure they wouldn’t have followed the USA into Iraq into 2003. The government of the UK went into that war for the same reasons Hilary Clinton voted for it.

The British people have a great nation and they’ve learned a lot from history. I trust their collective wisdom. Whatever it is that makes Britain what it is has to be preserved and not diluted away in Europe. The world is better of for it.
