Yes sir, that’s always possible. And there is no law against full subdivisions or residential towers 100% pre-sold to a single group of offshore buyers (although a new law now imposes a tax on investment properties). The troubling aspect is that it creates a ‘ghetto effect’ and can ruin the ethnic mix in traditional neighborhoods.

It’s more like a military invasion than an investment, though of course the offshore Chinese stampeding to get their money out before it’s confiscated do not see it that way.
