The power of social media
I received a series of private messages from a Twitter follower this afternoon asking for prayer. We’ve never met, have barely interacted through social channels, but he reached out for help.
And Mondays happen to be prayer night at my local church. Talk about divine intervention.
Here’s what he said, anonymously:

This had a profound impact on me today. I’ve tweeted 44,000 times since joining Twitter in 2011 and maybe 450 (less than 1 percent) have been biblical-based or something meaningful from conversation at church.
But it’s enough for someone to notice, perhaps the bug-in-ear that makes another open a Bible or seek to learn more.
Too often believers are silenced, shielded by the muzzle of being politically-correct in a secular world.
Be different. Break barriers. Be true.
