It is said that it’s the most beautiful city in Greece. It’s famous for the White Tower, Aristotle’s square, Ladadika and for the most hospitable and friendly people you will ever meet. A place where life can never be boring. Are you still wondering which that city is?

Of course, we are talking about Thessaloniki! It is located on the Thermaic Gulf, at the northwest corner of the Aegean Sea and it is bounded on the west by the delta of the Vardar.

The city of Thessaloniki is a popular tourist destination worldwide for many reasons. This multicultural place is home to numerous notable Byzantine monuments including UNESCO World Heritage Site and Monument of Alexander the Great. It is also known for its beautiful museums (most famous the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki and the Museum of Byzantine Culture) and galleries, archaeological sites, parks and stadiums.

Being a unique mosaic of different cultures and civilizations, if you ever get there, Thessaloniki will offer you a wonderful travel experience. Thessaloniki is also a major center of education in Greece. Three of the country’s largest universities are located in central Thessaloniki: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Macedonia and the International Hellenic University. The city’s main university is Aristotle University and it is the largest in Greece and the Balkans.

This year, EBEC Challenge Greece 2018 will take place in beautiful city of Thessaloniki on May 4–7. More specifically, the competition is going to be hosted at Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center. There are going to participate 8 teams in total, 4 on Case Study and 4 on Team Design. The four local rounds that consist the national round of the competition are Athens, Chania, Patras and Thessaloniki.
