Self Defense Is Your Responsibility and Guns Aren’t Magical Objects.

Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world without guns? Well, maybe everyone doesn’t think so. One thing I know we can all agree on is that we would love to live in a world without violence.

I hate guns. They creep me out. But here’s the thing, we have to be realistic about the world we live in. The reality is that we do, indeed live in a world with violence. We also live in a world that’s governed my natural law, and self defense is natural law. I don’t think anyone can argue against self defense.

There’s another natural law that says each of us are sovereign beings. A sovereign being must be able to take care of themselves. Taking care of yourself on the most basic level includes getting yourself food, water and shelter, building fire, and protecting yourself.

Some people are under the belief that in modern times they don’t need to protect themselves. If you believe that, I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to put this any other way. You’re naive. Catastrophes happen. Governments get out of control and terrorize. Some of us are extremely fortunate to never really have had to personally experience violence. But again, this is an extreme rarity in the written history of planet earth.

The thing that boggles my mind about the anti-gun campaign is that people are demanding guns be removed from the people, not from the government, when governments are the most violent people in the world. In recorded history. They are the people we have to be most cautious of, hands down. (Well, if you really want to get into it, it’s the powerful elite behind the government.) If you don’t recognize that, again, I’m sorry, but you are naive. If you study history even a little bit, the recurring theme is tyranny through government.

It upsets me that gun activists are mocked in this country. I’m personally intimidated by guns, and I’m extremely grateful for the responsible gun owners. I respect them and thank them. They may be the one thing that keeps government in check. Owning a gun is a big responsibility, and I’m comforted knowing that responsible gun owners would be there in a time of catastrophe.

Guns don’t make people violent. They don’t have magical powers. Owning one doesn’t turn you into a different person. A gun is a tool. I know people suffer greatly and lose their lives at the hands of guns. Violent people are violent, and if they don’t have access to guns, they’ll find another tool to hurt people with.

Guns can’t be eradicated from the planet at this present time. If guns are removed from the people, it’s the most powerful who will be left with them, and I’m sorry, but you would have to be extremely naive to think that’s a good idea. Who are you more afraid of having guns: the people who live on this land, or the government, the most violent people in our country? If guns were to be removed from the people, you would have to rely completely on government, the most violent people on earth to protect you. You would be completely at their mercy. History shows what happens when governments get too much power. There’s thousands of years of history to demonstrate that for you.

There’s a ton of really clever propaganda out there tugging on the heartstrings of loving, peaceful people. It tells you that if you don’t like violence then you should support taking guns away from the people. Is it really the people you should be worried about, or are the powerful elite of this country growing increasingly scared as they become more and more violent toward us and our brothers and sisters around the world?

I don’t like writing about controversial things like this. I get anxious about it. I’m not personally a gun owner. I’m not even a gun activist. I’m a critical thinker, and I want to see my brothers and sisters clear headed. I want to live in a world free of tyranny. I want my people to think critically.

Peace and love. To achieve a less violent world, let’s love each other, help each other, open our hearts, and open our eyes. And let’s not give in to fear. Let’s live in love!
