Week 3 Copyright

Week 3 was all about copyright, who thought it, who made it, who owned it. Copyright is claiming the right to an idea or object so if some one else uses it you get money or they get sued. Copyright is a bit confusing I think claiming something and making sure the fine print is on point or some else can steal your work. But i do understand it, you do not want to come up with an idea share it with some one because you might not be ready to create for a number of reasons, then that person goes ahead and makes it and you say its yours but no one believes you. I think copyright is a way to protect what is yours and be acknowledged for what you make or think and of course legal reasons so no one steals it.

The funny thing is though is creative work is usually based of other work, but i mean isn’t everything? Ideas are stacked up on other peoples ideas and it is how we grow as humans. I have games I want to make much like games I have played because i enjoyed them BUT there are things myself that i would add and change, so am i stealing ideas? Copyright makes that i cannot steal certain things, for example a game where you shoot pigs at birds, can’t do it, because it is basically Angry Birds and therefore I would be ripping it off and in violation of the copyrights.
