The good part about having to pay for boxes is that at least they will be good quality/appropriately sized. It does make it a lot easier. Take it from someone whose last move involved all these TERRIBLE sketchers shoes boxes that my husband got from a shoe store dumpster. Large boxes that held multiple pairs of shoes not actual shoe boxes, but they were so flimsy and weird shaped. I missed my no car/forced buying of boxes days.
