It doesn’t really matter how you start,
As long as you follow through really well
One of my favorite — and the most challenging — design professors demonstrated this concept by making us start a design project by taking photos of the inside of our refrigerators. We literally used those photos as the basis for our designs that quarter.
Of course, the final designs had little to no resemblance of those refrigerator photos, but all of our projects turned out dynamic, progressive, and fun. Comically, we started with nonsense and through a thoughtful process of refinement ended with a cool architectural space.
Imagine the potential when beginning with even only a somewhat appropriate starting point?
