Lisk Hub: How to Vote and Stake your Lisk!

The following is a comprehensive instructional on ‘how-to’ for setting up your Lisk Hub wallet, voting for a Lisk Delegate, and staking your Lisk. Staking your Lisk not only earns you more Lisk Tokens, but it helps secure the Lisk Network! Lisk operates on a dPoS protocol, which allows you to “stake” your coins offline by voting for the Lisk Delegates of your choice. These delegates, if they have enough votes, begin to “forge” Lisk. As a result, delegates earn rewards, which they then, generally, share with their voters. Without further delay, let’s get right into how to get you started staking your Lisk!
Step 1: Goto the Lisk Hub website: https://lisk.io/hub/index.html#/
(Disclaimer: ALWAYS double check the URL to ensure you are at the correct website. You should see the SSL Certification (Secure).)
Step 2: If you have not created a Lisk ID, please create an ID and store your passphrase in a VERY safe location. If you need more information on this, please visit the BLOQspace tutorial below. Otherwise, sign in using your passphrase.
Step 3: In order to vote for Lisk Delegates, you will need to have Lisk in your wallet. Once you have Lisk in your wallet, click on the “More” tab.
Step 4: In order to view and vote for Lisk Delegates, you must have the Delegate features enabled. Enable Delegate features by sliding the bar to the right, and then click “Delegates.”
Step 5: From this screen, you can search for, and select, the delegates you wish to vote for. You may select up to 33 delegates each time you vote, with a maximum of 101 delegates in total (This would require multiple votes). Each time you vote or unvote for delegates, it will cost you one Lisk. There is only a one Lisk fee for all 33 selections, not one Lisk per selection. To search for a delegate, you may use the search bar (see photo), and to vote for a delegate, you must check the checkbox (or uncheck to remove vote). Once you have selected the delegates you want to vote for, click the “Next” button on the bottom left side of your screen.
*Note: Some users are reporting being unable to view the “Next” button on their computer screen. If this is the case, reduce the zoom on your browser (zoom out) until the button appears.
Step 6: At this point, you can review all of your votes to ensure they are correct. If everything is satisfactory, press confirm!
