Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Some stats and Why you should pay attention

Well this should be my first article on Medium :) Might not be so great! But i promise… More’s on the way!

My name is Babs and i blog / teach people mainly on the Online Marketing Strategies have learnt over the years as a struggling dude.

Anyways today’s SEO and am taking to my medium space to push it outta my head. Search engine optimization refers to the process of tweaking and affecting a web page to rank better and higher on the search engines.

Not just Google. Bing, DuckDuckGo, YouTube included. why? According to Social Media Today YouTube has become the 2nd Largest Search Engine — bigger than Bing, Yahoo, Ask & AOL combined.

Probably you’ve heard of the SEO branches. On page SEO that has to do with adjusting your website, Off page that has to do with things off your website like link building and Technical. Those parts we don’t wanna go into.

Anyways the thing is These days, SEO is incredibly tough if you’ve not done any keyword research or build authority over the past few years as that’s what google gives credit to these days.

That’s google’s Shit. Who cares? You should… If you’re a business owner and have your business online as a website.

So what does this mean to your online business? Without huge budget for paid traffic you might not be anywhere near success except you want to deploy some article marketing strategies which will consume time and money.

Comscore found out that On average, we conduct 12 billion searches per month on the web in the United States.

So now’s a real time to start paying huge attention towards working on SEO Best practices.

Write better contents — The average content length for a web page that ranks in the top 10 results for any keyword on Google has at least 2,000 words. The higher up you go on the search listings page, the more content each web page has according to quicksprout
Reach out for links — it’s called influencer marketing of some sort.
Try guest blogging too — to build links and relationships
Don’t just stick to one form of content AKA text — Invest in other types. Videos, Infographics, slides and on and on
Go for blogging — It’s your biggest bet :)
