I’m from Minneapolis and this is a great get for the T-Wolves, but to me the uncomfortable truth is that any middling Western team sacrificing equity to get better now are just setting themselves up to get perennially embarrassed by Golden State in the playoffs. Thibs runs his starting lineup ragged, and Butler has already had several years of that in Chicago. He’s got a lot more miles on him than most 27–28 year olds. I have a bad feeling he burns out before the Warrior’s window closes. And when it does, Chicago’s new influx of young talent may be peaking at the right time.
