Thought-provoking discussion. But radiologist-scarce areas are also equipment-scarce areas, so I think parading ML as a panacea for the problems of the developing world is a bit of a stretch. In a remote location of a third-world country where the only available imaging service is a battered ancient analog x-ray these algorithms will have little immediate impact unless they get access to new devices as well.
