As September started, I am back to work. Lots of things to do as business doesn’t stop when you are on holidays…

However I still could find some time at night to read the Bible of Design Thinking written by the Design Thinking guru Tim Brown, Change by Design.

I should have read it long before and certainly before to work with designers and deploy design thinking within my company. But well, I did it.

Change by Design is the book which defines the Design Thinking approach and how to use/deploy it in your project.

Review

What I loved

  • Very interesting book regarding the birth and the theory of Design Thinking,
  • Understanding what’s behing the Design Thinking approach is here made easier to understand and appropriate the concepts
  • Good advices and examples help to understand how to deploy Design Thinking

What I less enjoyed

  • Those like me who were expecting a pragmatic and experimental book on Design Thinking might be disappointed. [If you know a good practical book on DT, let me know]

Conclusion

Change by Design, is defintely a good book about Design Thinking…history and theory. Funny to see how things changed on 7 years (book issued in 2009) esp. with some outdated example

Thanks for reading!
