I agree it will be a hybrid system of bots, apps and websites, but bots will be leading.
Interesting side affect is that bots are forcing Google to change their plan: the web page with 10 search results and a couple of ads will be skipped when a user asks Siri where to go to have spare ribs for dinner.
So, let’s continue with this restaurant example. The bot will present a top 3 or top 5 of restaurants that meet the requirements. Bot builders will pay with mini transactions or a subscription model for having access to the Google search results (or for the results from the API of Facebook, Yelp, Foursquare, Tripadvisor, OpenTable and so on).
The question is what will happen next: how many users will skip the restaurant website and order the bot to book a table, maybe after it showed some pictures & reviews of the place?
To take it one step further: what are the possibilities when bots start talking to each other and do business within the boundaries/goals set by humans? Think about existing auction websites for example…wow!
