I do think “change the world” is overly (& incorrectly) used in the tech & startup world; and I completely agree with your point on that. Not to be a semantics nerd, but I think the word “problem” and its usage in technology really stems from how it’s used in mathematics — an issue/equation, etc. that requires solving, not necessarily an issue that’s calamitous or injurious. It can be big or mundane.

Totally with you on the “change the world” narrative — it’s gross & ego-driven. Just don’t think we have a problem with “problem.” :)
