Jon, you mention your own experiences with wireless ear buds as including isolation and distraction. I don’t think most people — engineers included — understand just how central hearing is to our interaction with, spatial orientation within, and understanding of our surroundings; or how central sound is to socialization. It’s not product engineering the inventors are struggling with. They’re struggling with social engineering.
