In the narratives of both migrants and immigrants, this rhythmic change is a constant, depicting life’s unending flux.
In the displayed pieces, I ventured into the complexities of human emotion and experience, drawing a parallel with Sigmund Freud’s analogy of the human psyche as a layered entity, much like a delicately structured cake. This “Freudian cake” metaphor in my art symbolizes the hidden depths of our emotions, experiences, and the intricate layers that form our consciousness.
The paintings, designed to be like portals into human nature, revealed the multifaceted aspects of migratory phases. They went beyond physical movement to include the emotional and spiritual journeys that define and shape our existence.

In ‘Echoes of Seasons,’ I reflect on migration through the metaphor of seasonal transformation, drawing from my immigrant experience and inspired by the impactful visuals of families at the US-Mexico border. My large-scale paintings, inspired by the church altars of my Polish youth, provide a backdrop for contemplation and philosophical exploration.
