Hiring: Front-End JavaScript Developer

We’re looking for a JavaScript Developer to work on cutting-edge frameworks while maintaining large-scale platform performance for the company’s flagship product that already has tens of thousands of users across the Philippines. Developers on our team have are customers’ web and mobile experience by brainstorming, innovating, and building applications optimized for our users and their stakeholders.  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and deliver awesome applications that target multiple device types and platform versions.
  • Communicate with leadership, product owners, other technologists, and users to create working software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities.
  • Work on a cross-functional and cross-product team to define business requirements and set product direction.
  • Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices, and new technologies. We are always improving the process of building software; we need you to help contribute.
  • You will be a key part in accurately estimating the timing of software delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience developing with JavaScript
  • Ability to design and architect complex UI hierarchies
  • Demonstrated understanding of maintaining or improving web application performance.
  • Strong object-oriented design and development experience.
  • Skilled in writing high-quality, readable, well-architected and efficient code.
  • Experience with version control (Git).
  • Experience working with REST API technologies and HTTP.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, or other markup languages.
  • Experience with Unit Testing.
  • Familiar with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Creative with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for product quality and attention to details.
  • Must be a team player and effective collaborator with excellent communication skills.

BONUS POINTS:

  • Experience with Angular 2 and Ionic 2.
  • Experience integrating with a Django (Python) back-end.
  • Active in local JavaScript Meetups and community.
  • Participates in any open-source projects.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks.
  • Familiarity with publicly available open source software.
