I started working for the web in 2007, when I joined a software house as the new (and only) designer. I had previous experience developing digital products for touch devices, mainly multimedia kiosks, so I had some experience with HTML and CSS.
I’ve been following and using CSS Grid for a while now and I love the flexibility it provides and how easy it is to build layouts. I came across a video from the great Jen Simmons, if you’re not yet a fan I assure you will be, subscribe Layout Land, it’s amazing.
When I started developing for the web one of the tasks I dreaded the most was the slicing and exporting of all the images needed, particularly icons. I had to create several images for each icon: default, active, hover and disabled state and also specific images for different sizes.
