Barcelona Ventures Silicon Valley Pitch Event with the winners of the EmprendeXXI Awards
CaixaBank annually organizes the Challenges Phase of the EmprendeXXI Awards, this year is the 16th edition. They are awarded to startups with the greatest potential to solve the challenges posed in the different categories. These awards are co-granted with Enisa in Spain and BPI in Portugal.
The awards have the support of different areas and subsidiaries of CaixaBank group: AgroBank, CaixaBank Digital Business, CaixaBank Payments & Consumer, Zone2boost, Imagin, MicroBank, VidaCaixa, Banca de Empresas, CaixaBank Hotels&Tourism, CaixaBank Banca Privada, Banca de Particulares, Banca Negocios, CaixaBank Tech, CaixaBank Séniors and CaixaBank Real Estate & Homes.
Among the 1,135 companies from Spain and Portugal that applied in this edition, 36 finalists were selected. On May 24 and 25 they traveled to Madrid to compete for the award for the best company in each of the 6 challenges.

The challenges launched in this edition are:
- BankingXXI: Digital and technological transformation of the financial sector.
- CityXXI: New cities: more sustainable, safe, connected and adapted.
- PlanetXXI: Environmental sustainability, a better planet for the new generations.
- SeedXXI: Digital transformation and innovation in the agri-food sector.
- SilverXXI: Ensuring active aging and a long and healthy life through technology.
- LiveXXI: Digitization, new business models and reactivation of the hotel, restaurant, tourism and leisure sector.
🏆 The winning startup of each challenge was chosen on May 25. The 6 awards have the support of different business areas and divisions of CaixaBank. And the six presenting companies are:

Format: Each of the 6 challenge winners will have 5 minutes to present with slides, 5 minutes of Q&A and 5 minutes of helpful feedback from the panelists.
