ALBANY, N.Y. (Feb. 19, 2019) — Nine Pin Ciderworks (“Nine Pin”) celebrates its fifth anniversary as New York’s first farm cidery this February with a series of exciting events to celebrate the opening of its tasting room and production facility in Albany’s Warehouse District. The celebration will culminate with the fifth annual Gathering of the Farm Cideries on Saturday, March 2.

“We truly appreciate our local customers and are honored to bring them the excitement of our fifth anniversary with special activities and our commemorative bottled ciders. It’s so important to us to continue the tradition of the Gathering, providing our community an exciting and educational cider experience alongside our colleagues and friends who have also established farm cideries in New York State,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cider maker.

Special fifth anniversary events to include:

Tuesday, Feb. 26 through March 5: Art Exhibit
Tuesday, Feb. 26, 6:30 p.m.: Nine Pin Cider Themed Trivia
Wednesday, Feb. 27, 7 p.m.: Pins & Paninis Night
Thursday, Feb. 28, 4 p.m.: Throwback Thursday evening in the Tasting Room; Commemorative Bottle Releases

The Gathering, now sold out, is divided into two ticketed sessions beginning at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Tickets include three hours of sampling a huge diversity of New York State ciders, a branded Gathering of the Farm Cideries tasting glass, and the ability to purchase extremely rare and unique ciders from participating farm cideries.

The cideries will provide information about cider making and complimentary samples of their unique ciders. Attendees will also have the opportunity to stock their own cider cellars by purchasing ciders to go.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the New York Cider Association.

Food will be available for purchase from Burger 21 and DeFazio’s Pizzeria. WEQX will be on site, broadcasting live.
