We are all humans and prone to similar feelings, but I believe that a more humanistic education based on children developing their critical thinking and aware of the bond we have as human beings can regenerate a society that is fragmented spiritually and culturally.
Our bond need be foremost as humans agreeing on basis of respect and dignity of every being, including other species, as our original native Indians believed all life is sacred. Reverence for life need be our credo or we are doomed to extinction.
When a people adopt a Utilitarian philosophy of life as a guide inflicts a blow to social humane development. We become dispensable, judged by our ability to produce wealth for others in monetary terms rather than being appreciated as a unique being with unlimited potential to do good based on our talents and abilities.
I see changes coming but needs be adopted at higher level of influence to affect society as a whole, as in government laws, new perspectives on all aspect of society, most important education k to 12.
Better stop now!
Have a great day!
