beauty's daughter

I wish I were waking up next to somebody
Cos I'm tired of waking up alone.
I'm lonely enough that I miss
The easy morning chats
About what to do and where to go,
Then spend the day lazing around instead.
Books on the pedestals and next to the couches While some funny TV show has you in stitches.
Later in the day, order-in,
This doesn't feel like a cooking day,
Kauai because we pretend it's not fast food
And we're health conscious,
And then get up shower and get dressed
Cos we're almost out of condoms
Might as well head to the mall
And see the Apes movie.
Walk around holding hands
In ugly but comfortable clothes,
Gossip about strangers
And kiss on the escalators.
