Bellatrix Lestrange and The Malfoys

Some of the greatest characters in the Harry Potter series are some of the most evil and scary. Bellatrix Lestrange fits this to a T. She is one of the wonderful and scary characters. She is essentially the right hand of Lord Voldemort. She will do anything in her power to protect him and anything to keep him happy with her. She is absolutely crazy from her love of Voldemort and from her stay in Azkaban (the wizarding prison). Her drive to keep Voldemort happy has driven her to kill, which is something I believe she has come to love doing. The Malfoys: Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco. This family I believe began as a happy family until it was tainted with the dark magic of the dark lord (Voldemort). Lucius is the other hand to Voldemort. He is thought of very highly by Voldemort. His manor is used as a home base for Voldemort after his return. Narcissa is the softer side of the Malfoy family. She goes along with whatever Lucius wants in order to protect her son, Draco. She is extremely elegant and poised in all she does, even when she is sent to see if Harry is alive or dead and also when she is worried for Draco. Now Draco, a very impressionable boy. From the time he was born, it was drilled into his head that anything or anyone who was not a pureblooded wizard or witch was beneath him. Even the poor purebloods were beneath him, like the weasleys. He is given the task of getting the death eaters (Voldemorts followers) into Hogwarts so he can murder Dumbledore. This task is something that is too hard for Draco to handle. He never really got the chance to be a teenager or even to have a proper childhood. He was made to say mother and father instead of mom and dad. Everything was proper from how he acted to the way he dressed. I feel like if he had had a different father his life would have been entirely different. He was an extremely terrified boy who was unprepared for the life he had to lead.
