We are thrilled to announce that literacy nonprofit Bookshare is partnering with BeeLine Reader! Through this partnership, hundreds of thousands of people around the world will be able to use BeeLine Reader on Bookshare’s massive collection of ebooks.
Bookshare maintains the largest accessible ebook library in the world, which is available to anyone with vision impairments, dyslexia, specific learning differences, or other print disabilities. Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Bookshare’s library is available at no cost to any qualifying student in the United States.
Getting BeeLine on Bookshare
Using BeeLine on Bookshare is simple — just open up the Bookshare Web Reader and turn on BeeLine in the Settings. You can find the BeeLine settings in the Text and Background Color section. If you are using the Web Reader on a small screen (1366 x 768 or smaller), there’s a video that shows how you can access the full settings panel and enable BeeLine.
Once you’ve activated BeeLine, you can try different color schemes to see which you like best. There’s even a night mode!
Using BeeLine With Other Content
Of course, you can also use BeeLine tools to read other content, such as news articles, PDFs, Kindle books, and email. To get these tools, go to the BeeLine Reader website. Learn more about Bookshare here. Happy reading (and don’t forget to share, below)!
