How to Make Change Happen
Shaun King

Shawn: seems to me part of this is leveraging the power of local politics combined with organizing people around alternative economics (co-ops and other worker-ownership models). A lot of the issues around CJR are in cities where African Americans and people who support police reforms and progressive politics can mobilize and organize. Elect the right candidates aligned with the above issues and create local governments that are supportive of efforts to build sustainable, healthy communities.
