The Exclusive Name for Salvation
In Christ Jesus alone, our salvation is found,
The way, the truth, and the life; our solid Ground.
Today we are reminded of the Power and Authority of the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 says, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
SALVATION! The act of being saved. When your house is burning, you need a way to be saved, and for you to be saved you need somebody to save you. Our houses today may not be burning, but all who did not believe Jesus Christ were headed to be burned in hell…We cannot deny that all of us are sinners (Romans 3:10,23), if you deny it you are a liar (1 John 1:10).
SIN separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2, Psalms 66:18) and all sinners were headed to hell (Romans 6:23, Revelation 21:8) We cannot save ourselves, no wonder our gracious loving God sent our Saviour John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Son — Jesus Christ came to save us, He said in Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
If you die today without believing Jesus Christ you are in trouble, John 3:36 says, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:18 declares, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
In a world filled with various philosophies, ideologies, religions, and paths to follow, the Scripture gives us irrefutable hope and assurance in the name of Jesus, a clear reminder that salvation and eternal life can be found in no one else but Jesus Christ. John 14:6 He affirms this truth declaring, “ I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
As believers, we can take great comfort and encouragement in knowing that our faith is grounded in the person of Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate source of hope, redemption, and reconciliation with God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
There’s no other salvation, other than Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, Apostle Paul, in Romans 10:13, proclaims, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The availability of salvation through Jesus Christ is not limited to a select few, it is wide open for all who place their faith and trust in Him. No matter our past mistakes or present circumstances, when we call upon the name of the Lord, we can experience the transforming power of His saving grace.
The name of Jesus carries extraordinary Power and Authority, Philippians 2:9–10 declares, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;”
If you believe Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today, must remain firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word. We must boldly proclaim that salvation is found in no other name but that of Jesus Christ. It is our privilege and responsibility to share this truth with a world in need of hope and redemption.
Therefore, Brethren, let us hold fast to the exclusive power of the name of Jesus Christ. Let us boldly share the message of salvation with those around us, knowing that it is through Him alone that eternal life is found. May we never waver in our commitment to proclaim the truth of Acts 4:12.
