All the same, I’m glad my husband could be there for the birth of our daughter. I’m glad we had the choice. You’re right that it’s gone from being an “option” to being a kind of unwritten law. I think it’s a good thing for a father to be in the delivery room if his wife wants him there, and if he wants to be there. But people are ridiculously judgmental about it.
