Bolt’s Partnership with Y Combinator

We can all agree that founding a hardware company is not for the faint of heart, and hardware startups can use all the help they can get. So today we’re announcing the start of a beautiful partnership — Bolt and Y Combinator.

Bolt will be advising Y Combinator’s hardware companies as they traverse the challenges of hardware-mania and together we’ll help catapult them to the top.

The partnership took effect in January and was kicked-off with a visit from the entire Bolt team to the YC headquarters where we met with YC companies, past and present.

Our team of engineers will be traveling to Mountain View on a regular basis where we’ll hold open office hours for YC’s hardware startups. Companies will have the opportunity to receive help and feedback on everything from product design to hiring engineers to manufacturing logistics.

Y Combinator is the top startup program in the world and we’re proud to be partnering with them to help guide the next generation of hardware companies.
