Worn Gems

Unload myself and walk on down.
Wade memoriams until i drown.
Then i swear i hear some less despairing sound,
but it’s just me moaning as i hit the ground.
No one’s around.

Toss, toss me again,
down a walk that never ends.
I’ve taken mine
and I’m still bright.
I’ll be alright.
Worn gems do shine.

Nevermind being battered.
There’s hope that i could have ya.
If you see my shadow dancing on the wall,
shuffle across that concrete ladder.
Never been lovers in these halls.
We’re all that matters.

Toss, toss me again,
down a walk that never ends.
I’ve taken mine.
and I’m still bright.
I’ll be alright.
Worn gems do shine.
