As you and Shannon point out — you cant’ eat on “happy feelings.” Of course, I’m writing this article from the perspective of having a day job, so there is some level of comfort in what I create. Since I never have to worry about paying rent or buying groceries, that frees up extra time to be creative on the side, and I really push myself to use that time to my benefit.

I definitely agree that you and I are on a path here — writing books and on Medium and then sharing those things. I get a ton of “revenue” out of interacting with people like you on this forum. It’s not going to buy me a meal of course, but my hope is that one day, this hard work pays off.
